Mary Poppins Update
The music we all know and love can be heard throughout the school, as the students prepare for our upcoming school production, Mary Poppins. The cast members are busy rehearsing their lines and embracing their 1920 versions of themselves, as they adopt their old English characters!
Each class is busy learning their dance choreography, with the help of some very talented parent volunteers who are sharing their creative expertise with the students! We are so grateful to work so closely with these talented Mums!
Each student has brought home a note outlining their costume requirements. Please send your child’s costume into school in a labelled plastic bag, when all items have been sourced. If you have any questions regarding costumes please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
The creative Prop and Backdrop team are well underway, painting, glueing and sourcing items that will bring the show to life! Many thanks must be given to the parents who are assisting with the “arts and crafts” and creating these important items. If you wish to assist with prop creation and backdrop painting please contact: genevieve.schofield@cg.catholic.edu.au
As the students of St Mary’s continue to sing, dance and act their way through Term 3 it is important to let the school community know that tickets will go on sale at the end of the term (more information regarding ticket sales to come).
Please inform grandparents and family members that the students of St Mary’s will take to the stage on Tuesday 5th November (12pm Matinee and 6.30pm) and Wednesday 6th November (6.30pm).
