MacKillop Athletics Championships
Congratulations to Anikah H, Mackenzie H and Asher B who travel to Sydney in Week 10 to compete at the MacKillop Athletics Championships. These students will be representing St Mary’s and the Southern Region on Monday 18 September at Sydney Athletics Centre, Olympic Park in various track and field events. We wish Anikah, Mackenzie and Asher all the very best of luck. It is an amazing achievement to reach this high level.
Best You Can Be: St George Illawarra Dragons representatives visit
Next Thursday, Courtney Crawford, Community Officer from the St George Illawarra Dragons will be visiting Stage 3 students to talk about all things health and well being. As well as promoting healthy choices and lifestyles, the team will present the students with practical ways to keep fit and strategies to maintain healthy habits, both mentally and physically.
Hockey Skills Stage 2
Stage 2 enjoyed participating in their first hockey skills session this week with Cheryl Sutherland from the Eurobodalla Hockey association. Cheryl is a wonderful volunteer and regularly pops in to visit our students to encourage them to learn the skills of hockey. We are very lucky to have Cheryl in our community to pass on her expertise and love of the game. Year 3 and 4 students will be participating in these skill sessions weekly until the end of term.
